The 2026 Todd Hawkins Memorial Bones Tournament has been rescheduled to August 22, 2026 due to the insane amount of rainfall that we’ve had this summer. The website registration link will be sent out to interested participants. Once team registrations are complete, further information will be emailed out.

We are charging $25/person to cover the cost of food and prizes. Lunch and supper will be provided. Please bring your own drinks for the day, as well as lawn chairs, and anything else you think you might need. After supper we will have a bonfire and you are welcome to stay for the evening, and even overnight if you like.

Todd Hawkins Memorial Bones Tournament crowns new champion

On Saturday, July 12, the 2025 Todd Hawkins Memorial Bones Tournament was held in Leduc County.

The day saw 19 teams compete in a bunnock tournament featuring returning teams and players brand new to the sport.

After 36 games were played, the ‘Bone a Fide Legends’ were crowned as this year’s winning team, going undefeated. Mother and son team Nicole and Rylen Martinoff have played in the Hawkins’ tournament the previous three years, but this is the first time they have been able to claim the trophy. The trophy came along with a gift certificate to Rig Hand Distillery, two special edition 2025 tournament glasses, and lawn chairs for the team. However, the best part of the prize will be the year-long bragging rights that go along with the victory!

Debbie and Darren Weir were the winners of this year’s best costume award, also winning a set of lawn chairs.

The competition was followed by a group dinner, bonfire, and a fireworks show to wrap up the evening.

The planning committee would like to extend a big shout-out to Basile’s 2 for 1 Pizza in Leduc for taking a large order on short notice to feed the tournament participants after the planned caterer was unable to follow through.
